Both on February 21 and on February 28, our guests of honor were the diplomatic corps of the Vatican and Italy. Representatives of the highest clergy of the Vatican, cardinals and bishops were present on the part of the Holy See. Representatives of European elites, financiers, and businesspersons also attended charitable events.

The idea to turn to the World Center of Christianity for help and blessings from Pope Francis in holding a charity event in the spiritual capital of all Christians, the Vatican, was born at a meeting of the founders and participants of the Christian Charitable Foundation “POKROV”. The implementation of this idea lasted for 8 months and took place with the active participation of Oleg Kalenichenko, Natalia Kalenichenko, Oleksandr Volynets, Serhiy Trunov and Oleg Rudenko.

The task of our Christian Charitable Foundation “Pokrov” in wartime is to organize humanitarian and financial assistance to residents of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region, as well as all regions and cities affected by war, to all citizens of Ukraine who need help and support.

Since the first days of the war, we have established systematic work on delivery, storage, packaging and targeted distribution of humanitarian aid.

As part of the Foundation’s charitable activities, we have prepared programs that include:

• Organization of food production for people in unfavorable conditions for survival,
• A program for the production of energy-saving systems, so necessary in the conditions of electricity shortages and fan power outages,
• A program to provide prostheses to all those injured because of Russian aggression, and a number of other programs that will help the residents of Ukraine in this difficult time.

We are also planning and conducting preparatory work for actions in EU countries to attract funds, which will be directed to the purchase of food, medicine and everything necessary for the victims, to eliminate the destruction of Ukrainian cities and towns.

The charity event “With faith to Ukraine”, which took place in the Vatican on February 21 and 28, 2023, was a great success and united people from different parts of the world to support the long-suffering people of Ukraine.

Comprehensive support, Bishop’s Blessing and endless prayers for the people of Ukraine of the Bishop-emeritus, canon of the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore Iriney Bilyk, constant support of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Holy See and the Sovereign Order of Malta Andrii Yuras and their tireless efforts to help the people of Ukraine , as well as on raising awareness of people in the world about the realities of the war in Ukraine, played an important role in uniting people from different parts of the world and became invaluable for the success of our charity event.
